Refreshed and Restored by Jeneen Kohler’s deep-seated words.
It was a night I’ll not soon forget; a night of words so moving and majestic that I did not want to end. Undoubtedly anointed, I can describe it best by saying I felt like I’d just had my soul massaged. On a crisp, southern October evening, in a town where High School football still rules Friday nights and in a time when an Almighty God is often handed leftovers; Mrs. Kohler served up a warm reminder that what is referred to as the “Fatherless Generation” can be renewed and resurrected. “You don’t have to remain hopeless”, says Jeneen, as she reminds us of the power we-ourselves have been given to speak into our own situations. If a sigh of relief is what you need but seems impossible, her message is for you. Movers and shakers are being birthed by her mission as she authoritatively reaches up and pulls down those blessings God is waiting to impart. Glory to God for his infinite plans and divine interruptions. Will you be blessed beyond measure by what she shares? A resounding Yes! Will you ever be the same? No beloved, you will not want to be.

"A women of God, moved with compassion for lost & hurting people of the world."
I was inspired by the devotional of Bob Gass this week, where he zeroed in on the aspect of “passion,” from Isaiah 50:7 '...I have determined to do his will,' which I consider to be very appropriate and fitting in commending the ministry of Jeneen Kohler.
Isaiah said, 'I have set my face like a stone, determined to do His will.' The Psalmist wrote, 'My heart is steadfast...' (Psalm 57:7 NKJV). The word 'steadfast' means to have a commitment that's as strong as rock. Henry Ford was passionate about automobiles. Thomas Edison was passionate about light. The Wright Brothers were passionate about flying. Paul was passionate about evangelism. You will only be remembered in life for what you were passionate about. Standing before Pilate, who tried to judge Him, Jesus said, 'For this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world...' (John 18:37 NIV).
The same is true in the life of Jeneen Kohler. What she loves consumes her mind, her thoughts, her conversation and her schedule. Jeneen loves people and sees them through the eyes of Jesus. I have seen her moved to tears so many times as she fed the homeless on South African streets, prayed for the widows and orphans and plowed funds into medical supplies and other necessities for the betterment of human life in South Africa.
In Jeneen and her family, I see a deep and consuming compassion for lost and hurting people and have no doubt in recommending her for ministry to the greater body of Christ. She is sound, genuine, caring and a skilled teacher of the Word. She is one who is able to deliver effectively within the Kingdom of God. Our recent Ladies Retreat was a huge success in which Jeneen, through Christ, impacted lives for eternity - Jesus did, and He won the world !!
Much love and prayers,

"Jeneen Kohler is a down to earth, lovely woman. Her love for God and for people to thrive in life shines forth from her big heart. She is a minister with relevant teachings filled with life experience and is one of the most authentic people I have been blessed to know. Though we only met just a couple of years ago, I feel as if I have known her forever. If I had to chose two words to sum Jeneen up I would say that she is honest and real - a breath of fresh air. "

In 2009, I was running full speed down a path of destruction. After serving 4 years in the Marine Corps and two tours in Iraq, I became involved in an unhealthy relationship which ended in divorce. My heart was full of pain and anger and I used drugs and alcohol to try to fill the void that I later learned could only be filled by our heavenly Father.
I was raised in church, but when my life started to take a turn for the worse I ran as fast as I could from the presence of the Lord. I felt completely separated from Him. God was the last thing on my mind and I did not want to hear anyone preach to me how I needed to give my life and problems over to God.
All of that changed in 2009 during a visit to Steve and Jeneen Kohler's house in Tennessee. I was visiting a family who was temporarily living with Steve and Jeneen and I only knew the Kohlers through mutual friends. I was not close to them at all. While staying in their home, without even realizing it or even using words, they preached one of the greatest sermons I would ever hear. I watched Steve treat Jeneen the way a woman deserves to be treated and I saw Jeneen love Steve and treat him with the utmost respect. Their love for me made me feel comfortable even though I was a stone cold sinner.
The whole weekend all I could think about was how sick I was of living life the way I had been living! I was ready for my life to head in a different direction. I was willing to do whatever I needed to do to experience the type of Joy I witnessed in the Kohlers. That weekend, without preaching Steve and Jeneen reintroduced me to God. I was overwhelmed by the presence of the Holy Spirit in their home. I instantly knew what I needed to do.
On my way home to Indiana, I pulled my truck over on the side of Interstate 65 and gave my life back to the Lord. I surrendered everything to Him.
Over the past 4 years, Jeneen has become a spiritual mother to me. I am currently 100% sold out to Jesus and now lead the Men's Ministry at my church. Next year, I plan to attend Bible School and pursue my dream and calling of becoming a Pastor. God has blessed me with the wife of my dreams. We have been happily married for a year now and are expecting our first child in July.
Never take for granted the example you are to people. Your influence has the power to change lives just like Steve and Jeneen changed mine. Love covers a multitude of sin.

Jeneen Kohler has been a personal friend and mentor to me for 18 years. God has used her to speak Truth into my life, my struggles, and my heart more times than I can count. I love the way she uses scripture and godly wisdom to teach, encourage, and rebuke in love. I have valued her godly counsel in more ways than I can descirbe. Good friends are difficult to find, but great friends that help you draw closer to the Lord are even more rare.

To Whom It May Concern;
It is my deep pleasure to recommend Jeneen Kohler to you.
I've known Jeneen for 5 years and have experienced and observed her ministry and service to others in a number of capacities. Jeneen, along with her husband Steve, while at the Church at Indian Lake, were leaders of a small group in which I participated. I specifically chose to be part of the Kohler's group after engaging in conversations with Jeneen that revealed a solid grounding in the Word of God, a compassionate heart for others, and a focus on Christ that allowed her to be transparent about appropriately sharing her life story. What I discovered when Jeneen taught was an articulate speaker who passionately communicates scripture and it's applications, a woman who clearly prioritizes study and prayer in her life, and whose sensitivity to the leading of the Holy Spirit allows the restorative grace of Jesus Christ to touch the hearts of those present.
My responsibilities at the Church at Indian Lake include coordinating ministry to women. In that capacity,I asked Jeneen to be the speaker for a ladies retreat in 2008. As the event coordinator, I was impressed by her desire to incorporate the content of her session into the overall event, and deeply grateful for the commitment she made in prayer and preparation. As a participant, I was challenged and touched by her words. Her lesson on releasing anger and bitterness was clearly the right word at the right time, and opened the door to healing that resulted in transformed hearts and lives. Her time with the women in attendance was rich and her prayers with them heartfelt and Spirit led.
I must share, also, my observation of the non-public areas of Jeneen's life. Jeneen serves with her whole heart: she quietly volunteers and performs tasks that many consider lowly; she serves alongside other ministers with the same dedication and diligence that she brings to leadership; and she and Steve open their home and share their lives as a testament to the power of the cross to redeem and restore.
I am confident in recommending Jeneen Kohler and would be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Sincerely,
Deborah Jackson

Pastor-
I am writing this letter from a pastor to a pastor in regards to Steve and Jeneen Kohler. I want to personally give my full and enthusiastic recommendation for Steve and Janeen as qualified and seasoned ministers.
For four years, Steve and Jeneen have been active participants at The Church at Indian Lake. During that time I have been so impressed by their personal lives, marriage and ministry gifts. They have demonstrated some outstanding qualities that I would like to list for you:
-Steve and Jeneen's church attendance and accountability have been impeccable. The Kohler's attended every Sunday service or let me know ahead of time when they would be absent. There was never a question about their commitment to church attendance.
-They have been true servants. I have seen both Steve and Jeneen do what some would consider menial tasks in their service to the Lord. Jeneen volunteered several hours a month in physically cleaning the church. Steve created and led the parking lot ministry when no other man on our Leadership Board was willing to do so. He led this ministry with passion and joy, and used his own resources to bring excellence to that ministry. Steve and Jeneen worked together to host our Newcomer's Dinner. The two of them took this important ministry to another level of class, excellence and hospitality. Neither of them sought recognition as a minister, but they grabbed the attention of our congregation through serving.
-Steve and Jeneen started and led one of our most successful small groups. They opened their home to families in our church as they led a bi-weekly Bible Study. They demonstrated through the care and leadership of people that they have a pastor's heart.
-Jeneen is an excellent teacher and preacher. The classes she taught at our church were well attended, and many people were touched through them. When Jeneen preached at our Wednesday night service and Women's Retreat her preaching was well received, and it was evident that God's hand was upon her ministry.
It has been a joy for me to be the Kohler's pastor. The Kohler family has my highest recommendation. I have a high level of confidence in them, and I believe God will use them in incredible ways as they relocate to North Texas. If l can ever answer any questions personally regarding them, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Aaron Allison
